[keyword].info vs [keyword]Report.com: which is better for SEO?

I'm trying to decide between two domain names to use for a site, and could use some help in deciding which is best for SEO.

One of the names is [keyword].info and the other is [keyword]Report.com. An an example, Health.info versus HealthReport.com. The keyword is health-related, and is searched quite a bit, but not as much as health would be of course. The site will contain information and blog articles about the keyword.

So, I'm wondering which would serve me best in terms of SEO: the exact keyword with an .info TLD or the keyword in a two-word domain name that is a .com TLD. Do search engines give any weight to domain names that have the exact keyword as the domain name, regardless of TLD?

    Thanks.

If you are going to put in useful unique content...the search engines will need u no matter what the domain name is........if you looking from the branding angle and your website will be more relevent and better targetted towards healthreports.com go for it. If u have some budget for the info too and its cheap or not registered pick it up too and redirect it to the dot com website.

I really find it hard to believe that people still think that this totally affects their SERP's - it doesn't.

The fact of the matter is - is that it doesn't matter. If your wanting mostly search engine traffic, the name don't mean a thing. If you want type-in, the name is everything.

you could have alkfjalsfjasldfkj.someextention - and as long as you have quality unique content about your subject, and stick to your subject, and get links from authority sites about your subject, you could still rank high for your keywords.

Here is the best advice - if content is king, then linking is his queen. In other words, you could have any domain name on any subject, and if you have quality, unique content, and strong related links, you will rank high.

Now, for people to remember it and for the type in traffic, go with .com.

Otherwise, it does not matter for your seo.

For the value of the name, i'd go with .com, but for you SEO question, it really doesn't matter.
