Never Saw This Before, Need Enlightenment.

    Hi guys!

I found a domain called schoad.com in another forum. The thread starter said
    that if you type anything before the domain (i.e. a, b, c, 1, 2, 3, dumb, idiot,
etc.), it'll pull up search engine results bearing whatever you input and display
the whole thing in the locator bar as a "subdomain".

I typed "davezan" before the domain in the locator bar, then it gave search
engine results which bears my name. If I type the same thing in the white box
to search, it'll just return results like a regular search engine.

What's the purpose of this? How is this accomplished?

it is coded (programmed) to do this.... nothing new or special... this little trick has been around forever.
