I need to get people to come and post.
I have tried $f to get people to come and I get posts that say "cool", and that is it. its kind of frustrating.
Any suggestions?

well you must be the most selfless person I have met on this forum.
post more topics, and make your site stand out! get a useful information and post it. only through a countinuous reasearch time you will achieve something.
I feel your pain, I'm about to open my acrade forum after dumping the frist one. I never even open it, I went with phpbb and like it much better but still have work to do.
Anyway why did you leave so much room on the sides, I would widin the site and use a little bigger fornt. Forum are for reading and writing post, and should be easy to read and write on. I would widin the frame, and up the fornt size some. Also make some of the main fornts bold, this should help people read and move around better.
The thing is if you got members that signed up, but not posting then it's because some thing is worng. My thinking is, you should only need 2 people leaving good post. Others will start jumping in then, if their is other members reading the posts.
Of course I'm new to this, but from what I seen of your site. Nothing really grabs my eye, so making it wider and bigger fornts and more bold lines would help that. And use what you can control to the fullest, that is you getting in there getting things going. Also get a freind to join in and start talking, about what the site is about.
Helpfully that will even help, if you pay people $F to post, they will be able to make much better post then. And they may even keep coming back, with out you having to pay them $F to post. As I said I feel your pain, and just starting out as well. So I'm just giving you my .05 cents worth, not that I really know it works. But I think it should work, I do post to forums alot and seen as much. Tim
Like the background setting though, but i definitely feel your pain.
Websites are sometimes a strain and a big time waister.
I would suggest you focus the forum on 1 or 2 particular stuffs you are mainly familiar with,
and willing to dedicate your time researching into.
