Smile newly acquired site and ?pr

    Hi everyone,

I just bought a 'pr5' site here, article33.com, with the idea of using it to add links to my adsense sites, to help indexing.
I have 2 queries that the more knowledgeable of you may have an opinion on:

I checked the site on seo future rank, and got several pr5's and a a few pr6 results. 2 days later all reported pr5. I just ran it thru http://www.seologs.com/pr-check/pagerank.html and get a certified pr6. What is correct?

Secondly, the seller has said he will keep incoming links for a year, but I am concerned that the pr5 may drop if I don't do anything. What would you suggest to try and keep this pr5 rating up?

I hope these questions don't seem too 'newbie'!

    Mike

    Firstly - The site is a PR5.

Secondly - Go out and start getting backlinks to the site, find out what PR the sellers links are (the ones he will keep incoming for a year) and try to target them kind of PR sites i.e. if he has two PR8 incoming links - go out and get the same.

When the year is up - ask him if he will let you buy those links from him for x amount per month.

Or just try to find a handful of other PR5 sites that will exchange homepage links with you. You can trade links with 6 or 7 strong PR sites, and that will keep your PR up, and you'll still have plenty of room to link to your own sites.

Yes, this is the best strategy. I just wanted to ask that have you bought the site or just the domain without the content from that site.

If you ahve bought just domain then you will have to concentrate on collecting the articles as well and try to keep the titles and hence the filename for those articles same as before. It plays a very crucial role in getting your site a good PR.
