Anyone else going? I posted it here because the bulk of the conferences are SEO and PPC related. I went last year, it was well organized and well worth it. Got to meet the Google.com guys, Monte from Moniker.com, Pud from F--kedcompany.com, etc etc.

Looking for type-in domains? Page Rank Domains? Link Popularity Domains? Alexa Domains?
Domain Research Tool Finds, Tracks and Acquires domains.
The signup is at Pubcon.com, price is $375 before end of day Sept 2, not sure after that. It was $450 last year. About 1,500 attendees (my guess), 3 'tracks' of sessions.Originally Posted by Luc

3 conventions have been moved from New Orleans to Vegas, so it would be wise to BOOK NOW if you're doing this...
By the way, this is their 10th convention -- and there it's about 8 TIMES the size of a certain other convention held in Florida claiming to be the "premier" event. No massive ego, no 'invitations' required, just register, show up, and do business with 1,500 to 2,000 others in the business.

Sorry about that. I've already checked the pubcon website for this information.Originally Posted by JuniperPark

In case you missed it, here are the photos.
The first few are from the big open bar/catered party at Caesar's Palace nightclub PURE sponsored by Yahoo Publisher Network.
Next section is seminars, including one by Monte Cahn (Moniker.com), CrankyOldMan, and John Berryhill (Domain attorney).
The guy the blue golf shirt is Matt Cutts, a very early Google employee and the only one who will discuss Google strategy. The guy sitting on the floor is Philip Kaplan, aka Pud from F--kedCompany.com.
Then on to the next party an Nine Fine Irishmen Pub in New York New York, where Webmasterword footed the huge beer food bartab.
All around awesome event.

Thanks for the great pics JuniperPark. Haven't seen P. Kaplan for a while, seems like he's making some progress with Adbrite, his latest venture.

AdBrite was mentioned in a very positive way in several presentations -- apparently some do well with it. Adbrite had a booth last year (manned by Mr. Kaplan himself), but he was just attending this year.
JuniperPark, Any SEO nuggets you could share?
It's kinda hard to reduce a 3 day conference to a post, but basically there are people getting EXTREMELY rich doing SEO consulting and converting top SE positions to sales. I'm talking about $10 million+ and more.
Matt Cuts (one of the first Google employees and SE engineer) did most of the on-topic talking. In short, they're getting better and better at detecting spam, duplicate content, and the "dirty tricks" that used to work. That really is the bottom line. They've got the money, hardware, staff, and computing power to unravel any 'schemes' you can throw at them to unfairly boost your ratings.
The show was basicly about networking, with 1,500 - 2,000 serious business people there (as opposed to the paltry 250-300 at the "traffic" meetings).
I've been promised a call from the head guy at Yahoo Publisher Network to explain why I received no response to my application to join the network. He said he was aware of the invitation selling going on here and it will be stopped.
