    Re: search engine submission

This is pretty much useless to do. With my first few sites I submitted them to all the search engines because I figured they would porbably rank me higher or whatever. But with some more recent projects I didn't even bother, and within 3 days I was ranked on the first page of google. How did I do it? Links. Get as many high quality/high PR/related sites as you can to link to you and you'll be in all the search engines in a matter of days. And don't for get to use meta tags/relevant titles(VERY IMPORTANT!)/ and have targeted content. Remember, theres only three search engines you need to worry about - google yahoo and msn. All the others basically "aggrigate" the data from the big three. So those sites that say they'll submit your site to 1,000,000,000,000 search engines are useless because you'll get like 90%+ of your traffic from the three. That's pretty much all there is to it. I've seen too many people waste money on paid search engine submissions, don't do it!
    Hope that helps.

    Re: search engine submission

If you're thinking of submitting your site to search engines, automatic or manual then it's pretty useless. The search engines will find your site and submitting to them really isn't going to help. The best way to get indexed is to get other sites to link directly to you, preferably linking to your site without a reciprocal link. The spiders only need one link from another site to find you.

Just getting backlinks won't help, get backlinks from a site already indexed by Google and other top search engines

    Re: search engine submission

I wouldnt bother doing it, just wait for the search engines crawlers to find your website. The more backlinks you get with other websites the faster and more chance you have of beening indexed.

    Good luck

Is there more you can share on these keys to the kingdom. Do you pay for these links or how do you go about getting other sites to link?

    1. Do link exchanges
    2. Submit your site to directories (not search engiens)
    3. Write articles and submit them to article sites.
