Was there a recent PR update?

Hi All,
I just received an email about a site bragiing they just went to PR 5 from PR 0. The site is two months old.

Did Google just do a PR update? None of my 5 sites have changed....

They mustnt know what they are talking about if they are bragging about going from PR5 - PR0, it goes from 0 - 10 with 10 being the best.

Your PR is updated when your site is visited and it deserves a higher PR, if you have Awstats you can see the last time you were visited by a bot.

if the site is 2 months old it's not even supposed to have gone from pr 0 to pr 5 since the last update was like 3 months ago anyway an update is expected this month. cheers!

Sorry I read that post totally wrong, I thought they meant they went from 5 - 0 and thought it was good lol

There was a real PR update earlier, but was rolled back.
Now the only update is some sites which gained pr in the 4/04 update have lost it, otherwise no new sites have got a PR.

Thanks everyone, i've launched 5 new sites since the last update and was hoping that all of those sites didn't remain at 0.

I think most of you know by now that google recently had the PR Update. Hope you all get positive results and if not then you need to wake up and start promoting your site harder.

I understand that it will affect your PR if submitting site to paid directories.
