Traffic question?

Just wondering what y'all thought was a good number of visitors per month to make a descent site. I have had cusefans.com up for about 3 weeks now and have gotten about 6000 hits.

It really depends on the industry. Some topics get 6000 hits an hour and some get 6000 hits a month. In any case, though, you need to decide if you just want traffic or if you want to make money on the site. What is the goal of the site? Is it meeting your goals?

I'm happy with the 6000 hits so far as I was hoping to get between 1500-2000 hits the first month. It is aq Syracuse sports fan site, so I am not sure if that figure is good or bad for the first few weeks.

Hits are not visitors.. I can come to your site and if you have 5 images on each page and I visit 5 pages on your site that would give you 25 hits.. for 1 visitor

check your traffic logs for daily unique visitors...

Month Sep 2008
Unique visitors 22634
Number of visits 42968
Pages 1559388
Hits 2506585

so it does not mean I got 2506585 visitors for Sept...
