Traffic?

I'd like to know how to get a little traffic to my site. :( I have little or no traffic right now. I'm trying to make a few dollars from ads, but I need traffic for it to work. Any have any ideas?

No offense, but this question doesn't really merrit answering. There are dozens of ways to gain traffic (SEO, link exchanges, paid ads, etc), all of which are talked about all over DNF.

Please...please take some time to search the forums for previous posts that contain the information you are looking for.

GT, let's try to help the newbies.

A few ideas:

1. Buy advertsing on similar sites.
2. Use adwords.
3. Upgrade to Platinum and advertise.
4. Exchange links.

GD, we should let new members know about how AMAZING the search tool is. In this case, it would have already answered most of Nekaid's questions and I would be more than happy to try and explain any remaining questions...but saying how do I get traffic is like saying "how do I get money" as there are literally dozens of answers

By the way, I've already searched the forum. There are many answers to my question. But none of which are what I haven't tried. I've tried submitting my site to search engines, I can't find any affiliates, and I am not going to pay for traffic. There, ya see. I'm used for something. Stating the obvious. Also, the reason for not buying traffic is, A. Not reliable, B. Too Expensive, and C. I'm a new site.

It's not up to us to ask you for info. Just posting the info would have helped save confusion and time wondering what you are doing. The first question was very vague so vague answers is what you got.

Paying for optimized ads is very effective and vital and more often a necessity for a new site.

I'm sorry but not wanting to spend even a little cash for your long term investment says a lot of the project your working on.

Google adwords. Is all I can say. be very specific about the search words and even a few dollars a day will get a good amount of traffic.

Well, since I'm in the new Yahoo! Publisher Beta, I've got a total balance of about $100 and I don't know how much my available balance will be when its estimated. But if its over $65, I'll think about getting adwords. I'm not to sure about it though.

Another good resource is buying domains with links and traffic. If you buy quality names that have traffic related to your site you will boost not only just the traffic but sales also. Take a look at the pool market place for expired domains. And check the link popularity on them. You can find some real bargains for instance I just found several last night with more than 400 links each over 30 hits a day for $8 a domain.

Or post a "domains wanted" thread for traffic names.

And don't even hesitate about the ads, if no one knows your site exsists no one will visit. that simple. it isn't a secret that the reason big companies are so big is because of advertising, and many of them got there even with crappy products.
