What good is getting more traffic if you arent making revenue from it... I can see how it benifits you. I suppose that in th elong term it could, perhaps, build traffic, but you lose so much revenue..

Yes we are benefiting from this a little but we think it's a suitable alternative to landing page services that are benefiting from a lot from your parking. A landing page is dull. It doesn't always suit the visitor with interesting links. Games are always fun for all ages.
Sorry...I don't see any benefit to it at all, if you could make the google ads produce revenue for the individual domains instead of yours..then perhaps it would be a good idea.
Yes true BUT (and now for some constructive comment) LOTS of ppl don't know how to build a site. They park their domains on ppc and yes good domains make good on PPC. But c'mon let's face it, out of 100,000 domain traders how many make a living on PPC? 1%?Originally Posted by jazzpetals
How come? because ppc still needs someone to type in your domain. Simple as that. There are no miracles. (sure you can use popup popunder and whatever stuff) One still needs to click on a link to earn from ppc.
With our free site ppl DON't have to build a site for starters AND can benefit of getting more and more ppl typing in their domain.
Oh yes please allow us the benefit of google adsense, we only need to cover their Hosting and their bandwith and in the process in YOUR goodness can we make maybe a little buck or so? My children need to eat too.
(this maybe sarcasm but read this thread! http://www.dnforum.com/f72/dnforum-p...ad-120195.html
I hate negative attitude and wiping everything of the table just like that without even thinking any further. And it is incredible how much I can find that in here) In short my idea offers benefit for those with names that do not get any traffic and yes if we make a buck out of it why NOT??? What's wrong with that.
I agree there's no benefit to the owners of the domain, or yourself for that matter. Sure, you'll make a few bucks as you said.
By directing my domain to your site would make no difference to my traffic as people still need to type my url. I would still get the same amount of traffic. The only difference would be word of mouth from previous visitors. Very slow way of making traffic.
However, lets say I do this with one of my domains for six months. My traffic goes from 50/day to 250/day. When I eventually decide to go to a parking page to try and make money from these new visitors as you suggested, they're are more likely to go 'damn it - that cool game site's gone.' That doesn't mean they're going to click a link. They're more likely to go search for another free game site. You see, most of the ads on these parked sites pay money for clicks, so they are unlikely to offer free services. So basically you expect them to use a free service then expect them to pay for one.
Cheers
