What is benefit of Yahoo Directory Listing?

Hi,

Would anyone consider it worth $299 to advertise there site in yahoo directory?

Is it worth spending money on inclusion in high pr directorys like yahoo?

Also is it worth buying targeted niche traffic?

It really depends on your site if it realy is a site which will make a lot more money then that then I think you should do it.

I agree with Jamal. It depends on the value of the site and where you are in SEO. If you have no good links, and no way to hget them, then directories are of value, Yahoo being no exception. The problem with both Yahoo and DMOZ is ifyou are in them, your SE description will be pulled from your directory description (usually not very good), so if you are well on your way on linking, forget both Y and Dmoz..

I think a Yahoo Directory Listing does have some benefits which include Link from an authority site that Google trusts, chances of better ranks in Yahoo search and direct traffic to your site from the listing.
