Hi all,

What is the best line you used to persuade webmaster to exchange link with you when your site is low, says PR 0?

or

What is the best excuse you come across when being persuaded to exchange link with you?

Well for a start you dont "persuade" any webmaster to exchange links with you, just simply be polite and ask them, if they dont wanna exchange links they wont and probably nothing you can do about it.

If your site is a PR 0 dont be going to sites with PR 8 and asking them for a link - its not going to happen (unless you pay) but if the webmaster has any sense he should check your backlink index and see how aggresive your building links and then decide from there.

Only because your a PR 0 now - it dosent mean you will be on the next update.

Lol no - DONT use templates or automated software - most webmasters see these and just discard them right wy becuse the mentality is "another templates/program"

If your going to be trying to get decent worth while links - write a PERSONALIZED email to them and try and find a name if you can like "Dear Lee"

And make the title and the first two sentances capture them and make them want to read it.

Short and sweet is best as some webmasters dont have the time to wade through all the links requests the get.

You might wanna consider registering your website with directories which do not require a backlink. There a couple of hundreds of them and some have a pr of 6 and a few of 7. This will help youto get a least a pr of 3 to 4. This might make it easier to ask other webmasters to exchange links.

No that is not a good one. You wouldn't believe the amount of link exchange requests I get as a webmaster with the line "I strongly believe I'll be a PR6 on next update, altho I'm at zero right now". I don't care what you believe. While you might be a PR5 or 6 on the next update, case is you aren't now and that's what matters, at least to me.

If you want to talk about your PR, talk about incoming links and the quality of them instead of trying to make me believe something that may not even happen. As a brand new site with the mandatory PR0 you should either get links from friends sites (if any), directories or pay for them. Paying for them is by far the fastest method so you might wanna try that until your site hits Pr5 or 6.

Another factor is your alexa rank. While alexa may suck because of the way they rank sites, it's still a rough estimate of how popular your site is. For me traffic is important, and I know it is to many other webmasters. So don't put all your eggs in one basket and only focus on your PR. Try to build traffic and the PR will follow. Good luck

Very true, also when you get requests from webmasters whose product doesn't come close to what you have on your site.

Alexa does suck. Can be manipulated too easily-----like using a link farm to pump up stats.

Thanks man! I just found that line kinda motivating after so many rejections. So in this case, how you justify the quantity and the quality of incoming links claimed by the webmasters who contacted you?
