What can I do about Adsense?

    Hello all...
I have adsense adds on one of my sites. The site gets pretty nice traffic, but the problem is, I make soo little! I am sure there are threads LIKE this one, but I have a specific question... Google does not allow you to pick your keywords. Asides for plastering the adds, everywhere posible, what can I do about making more revenue? I live in Canada, so YPN is out of the question. You can judge the placement of my adds if youd like (refer to proxy in signature) but, IMO, they are in the best positions possible! How does anyone make money of Adsense? I just dont get it... Thanks... Nicolas

Well you need traffic and you need some text on your site to trigger interesting and higher paying ads...you can always put a keyword after your URL to pull whatever ads you want...check it out www.bestsiteonearth.com/car_insurance or www.bestsiteonearth.com/singles_dating
    www.bestsiteonearth.com/fruit_smoothie
you just have to make your 404 error page your home page so when it reloads it will be there even though the "/whatever" is not a real page...notice if you click any of the tabs on the page what ads reload...conceiveably if you had dating typos they could forward to a page with the "/online_dating" after them to trigger the right ads on the adsense code..and insurance typos could go to the same page fowarded with "/car_insurance" after them and all the visitors get pointed to the right stuff...I used to do this sort of thing with a bunch of typos back in the day...just keep in mind google can see and tracks all referrers so as long as you keep it on subject and do not abuse this they normally do not care, in fact I spoke with them a few times regarding this method awhile back and the only adjustments they had me make was to add some "text" and content to the page(s)...like pictures, etc..this way you are not just using a page to just generate ads which would be against their TOS which you want to surely take seriously if you start making good adsense revenue so that it can continue without any problems...

I'm buying credit, banking, loan, insurance related generics in .com, .net, .org with high search volumes/traffic. Will consider typos too! - PLEASE PM with name, info, & asking price!

Are you sure that the traffic is organic? I had similar situation with recent expired domain. There was huge amount of traffic but no results in revenue. Analyzing the traffic found that some bots tries to post spam messages thinking that this is the old site.

Re: What can I do about Adsense?

it's all about the right placement with adsense and good paying keywords of course.
But just a slight change in ads colors/schemes and placements can double and tripple the ctr easily

you'd usually want to blend in your ads to make them look like the rest of the content, without breaking the tos of course, your placement seems good, but get rid of all the crappy banners at the bottom Better use ypn for a proxy site.
