There's been a post or two on my site http://www.wiinames.com. Never thought it through, but have decided now that I will be delighted to list wii names in exchange for a link on a web site. Hope that clarifies things a bit, and will appeal to a general sense of fairness and the spirit of barter trade!

foodie, you are truly a trend setter. I have never seen anyone who creates a site only to sell one specific type of domain.

Fellow wii people I highly recommend you visit and have a look. You too could have your wii name featured!

Wish life were so simple or easily lucrative. It's all a gamble, isn't it? No, no offers. This posting that I am quoting is interesting, because there seems to be a debate as to whether or not the name is even going to be THE ONE!

"Joystiq is reporting that all those who were holding out hope that the Wii name was a fake should start crying now. A reader tipped them off to not one, not two, but nine seperate patents filed by Nintendo that lock in the Wii name for Nintendo’s next console. Trademarks were filed on April 27th, but the priority date was November 11th, 2005. Looks like Nintendo has had this name on their collective mind for some time! So guys, the Wii is here to stay…sorry to all those who were holding out!"

By the way, I chanced on free-counter.com -- easy to load and to track traffic, for those are considering whether or not to dump certain sites!

Hey foodie,

It has been a few weeks, how are things at wiinames.com? I noticed someone also has wiiname.com which lists wii names as well.

Has anyone expressed interest in your Wii names yet and when do you think the best time to sell will be? I have not yet sold a domain in my first 5 months in this business.

Going all right, pal. I'm happy to sell anytime, as are all of us! Just advertising revenue from various sites. I did put a link to an affiliate program on wiinames.com though, for anyone interested -- it's one program but tons of merchants. For example, I just applied to Netflix through them for my filmsoncall site.

BTW, anyone had problems with the yahoo advertising? I kept getting blank ads from them for the film site, and days later (they said to wait 48 hours) loaded with google.

Hey I checked out that linkshare info you mentioned in your last post..

That was the worst sign-up experience I have ever had. Let me tell you there were pages and pages of forms to fill out, tons and tons of fine print to page through (i don't read fine print)...

After going through the gruelling form validation procedure I'm not even sure what I got! I hate giving up my ssn before doing any business with the company. We should start up another thread on this putrid firm...

All that aside folks I do recommend foodie's site wiinames.com as one avenue to further market your precious Wii related resources..

I haven't been in this business long enough to know... Is there a buying frenzy as there was Wii whenever a new game console comes out? Or is Wii the exception? xbox 360 was before my domain buying time.

I did manage to snap up some high quality umpc titles such as umpcSTYLE.com. This product just got the initial launch last month and is beginning to take off as more manufacturers start offering models. There are over 500 umpc domains listed over at sedo and 1500 Wii !!

When is the best time to sell? I see quite a few Wii domains offered between $150 - $300... Should I be happy with this ?

Why don't you do UMPC names then? And offer to list other names as a link exchange? Yep, that UMPC is selling fast. I talk about it a little on my bytessite.com.http://www.bytessite.com
