Editing php files for a newbie ...

I know nothing of php, is there a simplified sofisticated editor that a newbie can use to apply some minor changes to php files ? Or should we engage a parttime programmer to assist us with our needs ?

    Thanks for your feed.

I suggest you learn the basics of PHP or find a PHP programmer to help assist you.

Do you know how to program? If not, hire a programmer. Editors range from simple notepad alike text editors to sophisticated IDEs like Eclipse IDE, Netbeans or Zend Studio

Notepad will work fine. There is also a program called Textmate and one from NuSphere. These just simplify the editing, but they are no means a "Frontpage" for php programming. You still need to know the structure and code.

Yes, I was hoping in a sort of "Frontpage for php" editor :(

Ok, we've already been approached by a programmer so we'll contact him once ready to start working on the sites, at this point ...
