Could someone help me please?
I am looking for a reputable domain appraiser, that will give me some seal or something.
I have a buyer that is asking for this, and he says that Estibot and others like it are trash.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Thank you very much
John

Why do you say that?
have you seen this type of thread before?
In your experience, do you think Estibot and Valuate CAN be trusted to be accurate?
Thank you for your quick response.
John
Okay Thank you
I will do that
John
Google search: domain appraisal scam.
Looks like you've been targeted![]()
NameNewsletter.com - free lists of available domain names
ZoneFiles.net (beta) - ccTLD and gTLD droplists
In a nutshell,
A potential buyer contacts you but asks you get an appraisal though a service (ahem, their service)
Potential seller is happy, pays $30 for the appraisal.
Buyer says "nah, never mind" if they even respond.
That's a typical appraisal scam.
I don't know of anyone who would put a seal on an appraisal and even if it is a digital copy (PDF / JPEG) those can easily be manipulated.

Yes....This is a most likely a very old appraisal scam where they tell you to use one of their "trusted" appraisal companies and then after you buy, they are not interested in your name...they may say sedo or another reputable company in addition to their scam companies...
Estibot is terrible IMO....or comical depending on your mood. It is a nice novelty but it really is not a good appraisal tool.
Thank you kindly.
Is there an appraisal tool that you like, or recommend?
I am new to this, and would love a little guidance pre-buying.
Thanks
John
Okay I will.
I am traveling on business now, but I return home on Sun.
Will do then,
Thanks Again
