.ws
I guess I want the more popular TLD???
The site will be an informational site with referral links. It wil only generate money through referral links.

Simply find another .com.Or if you really need to choose one, go for .biz DEFINITELY. And if you have some spare money left, do something else (like donating to a charity).

If this is a brandname situation, you want memorability. Yes, people generally type in .com, of course, but making the extension relevant makes it more memroable.
And easier to tell others about.
