Problems in listening to .mid files

I've Windows Media Player 6.4 installed on my Win98SE and it works fine with all files/video formats except for midi ... It seems to play them but I can't hear them :(

In order to solve some other problems, recently I installed again my Win98 over the current version, without formatting ... but midi files are not working yet.
I installed WMP 7.1, same result.

Any idea on how solving this issue, please ? I accept and appreciate any suggestion and hypothesis, thanks.

Re: Problems in listening to .mid files

Problem solved by changing an option but I'm unable to explain you what I did exactly ... In few words, I've been lucky

Thanks again for helping.
