Sad news. CNN reporting Amy Winehouse found dead in her apartment.

Every one close to her and in the music business had tried to get her to go to rehab and she refused.

Living a certain lifestyle has its rewards...and disadvantages.

Another talented person self destructs at the age of 26

I seem to remember a thread where some members stated that "drug use" leads to good music, ignoring the fact that it also leads to other things like "addiction" and "death"

It's very sad this Woman died at such a young age.. We lost a friend to drugs, he hung himself at his home leaving behind a beautiful family, Wife and 2 children 5 years old, (twins)... He really had no reason to be unhappy or depressed other than his addiction to drug use.

I don' think drug use necessarily leads to good music, but I do think that writing good music requires a frame of mind where you abandon the rational and allow feelings to rule the day. It can be tricky to do that and still keep a hold on the basics of life. She was very talented, and could have done much more. Sad.

Sad to hear she died at such a young age . . . but I sadly must admit I was not one bit surprised by the news.

Its sad that she didn't take here addiction seriously and try to fix it.

Sad that anyone should die so young, but its just as sad that she largely wasted her talent and took her fans for granted. She was a walking car crash and I doubt many people are shocked by the news.
