Country: | Its that time of year again...phone contract renewal, new, or upgrade. We both have the Helio Ocean. Great phone. Virgin Mobile (who bought out Helio) is offering us two new Ocean II to stay. I could easily make the switch to iPhone but I am not a fan of AT&T. That's the deal breaker for me. Is there a spot that I can find out more about when the Android models will hit, who will have them, and who the carriers will be? |

DNF$: 385 Location: New York | Verizon makes good phones, but personally I prefer t mobiles service. I have unlimited minutes family plan (3 phones) for just $150 a month, and no contract which is the best part of all. can't top that seriously. t mobile g1 phone has android application. |

Verizon is not actually the phone maker, per se. Verizon coverage here is spotty. I have a broadband card by contract with Verizon and it is hit or miss as far as coverage goes...no coverage in one part of house and coverage in another. I would like to know if there is a site out there having the phones, the plans, and the apps for comparison. | |

I was hoping Virgin Mobile was having a droid phone but not anytime soon. I found out (thanks to a PM from Dragger) that Sprint still provides my service for me ala VirginMobile/Helio. Honestly, the best sound quality/service/reception I have ever had on a phone. I am leaning towards sticking with Virgin and upgrading to the Ocean 2 (although I might not notice anything above the current Ocean). I may look a little closer at the iPhone. I have an iPod touch and it is getting great reception but that is mostly due to my wireless modem here in the house. I'd love to see how it does on the 3G. They have an ATT store a couple of miles from my house so I might check them out. I'd like to see the reception and check out the call quality. I think at the end of the day, having the most spectacular phone doesn't mean squat if the call quality and service sucks. UPDATE 10/3 Well, I just called Virgin Mobile. The ONLY item I would consider in exchange for my Ocean is the Ocean 2. The Ocean 2 is being discontinued and the only model they have in stock is the Korean version of the Ocean 2.
