Is any one waiting for vBulletin 4.0?

Im 2 years on the net doing research for Internet business/revenue.
I was think vBulletin 4.0 would be released in May/June 2009
Has any one made the mistake on waiting for vb 4.0 before starting a forum?

I also fell for another announcement that a new updated script, it also was to be released in May/June.

To say you "fell" for something implies you were misled.

I know that not to be a fact if your research has been thorough.

And if you are into vB, you know 4.0 will be a pretty large change in the core code. Dont "expect" it before middle of next year, if you are reasonable.

I wouldnt "wait" if you are wanting to start a forum. Why not just go ahead and start it?? You will in fact be able to migrate it forward to 4.0 when it comes out of beta. And your forum will in fact have already been through some growth by then. Plus you know you will be upgrading every six months or so anyway, when they release patches and improvements, which will include license renewalls every year.
