Anybody know how to upgrade Matt Wrights' FormMail?

As you may know, FormMail has a security hole in it. I am attempting to upgrade my form with a security patch, but have no idea what I'm doing.

I'd really appreciate it if anyone could do this for me. If so, please tell me your fee.

    Thank you.

Best to rermove it first asap - then look for another at hotscripts. I'm sure the security patch works, but you'll see a lot more fetures in the new ones, especialy the PHP ones.

You are right about it's security, it is a favorite of spammers, and can get your site banned. Some hosts ban that old script.

Hi Domainaholic, Thank you for the response. I have access to another script that the web provider supplies, but it will require my recreating three custom forms. I'd like to avoid that if possible, thus my desire to update the current script.

Gomains, delete your old formmail.cgi script ASAP

Find another scirpt that is compatable with Matt's formmail, rename it formmail.cgi and upload it to your site in place of the old one. You won't need to modify your forms.

I'll see if I can find one on hotscripts.

Here you go, in this zip is a replacement formmail.pl . Just drop this one over your old one, and make sure it's executable (chmod 755)

Thanks very much, RJ, for your trouble... but I actually finally figured the thing out (after about 7 hours). I had to make a couple of custom changes to the security patch for the script...
So I'm all set. Again, my thanks to you and DomainAddict.
