I will soon be on holiday for a week so I was looking for a laptop/notebook computer that is light so I don't feel like I'm carrying a ton of bricks. I bought the Asus EEEPC and it's so slim it even fits in my handbag.
So I can check my E-mail, domain auctions (very important

) while on the move.
Sure it has a number of shortcomings the tiny screen not being the least but once again the Opera browser comes to the rescue with its built-in fit to width feature

Anyway it sure is better than fumbling with a mobile phone
Actually the primary reason for the purchase is that the unit is shipped with a Linux distribution instead of micro$oft windows (yuk !) and I have even tweaked it already so I have a fully-fledged portable *nix platform with full KDE menu.
IMO it's still good value for money and I'm loving it. Any other eeepc owners around here ?
