automatic appraisals

How reliable are the automatic domain name appraisal websites like swiftappraisals.com?

not reliable at all - there are so many variables that need to be taken into consideration when making an appraisal that no automated system can make an accurate(not even approximate maybe) valuation.

Post your name here in the forum, read the replies and make your own conclusions about the value.

Swiftappraisals.com is a parked site.

I would not trust Guestibot or Leapwish or any other automatic domain appraisal.

Not very reliable to determine price/value. But they are good to check domains in bulk, or to compare stuff

Pricing is established when there is an agreement between the buyer/seller.

There are some "pricing guidelines" among the resellers (2-3 letters characters) but still they are just guidelines.

I agree. I have to laugh when I contact people to buy a domain name and they offer that we get an automatic appraisal. This shows weakness. As a domain name holder, you should have an idea of what it is worth, and if you dont, then I'm probably going to pay you pennies on the dollar.

Actually, someone replied yesterday and said he would sell it if I agreed to purchase it at the automatic appraisals price, here's the catch, he hadn't even got an appraisal yet so he wanted me to agree to whichever price this software spit out.

As a matter of fact, Appraisals = BS. The price of domain is exactly what a buyer values it at -- and that is where your sales skills pay in.

Not reliable at all. There is no way you can really automate this process, as each domain name is unique
