Unreal.
BREAKING NEWS: Facebook registers "belly" as a trademark![]()
Belly.com domain value is hard to estimate since the most important stat re actual traffic the domain gets is not so good, which data is more valuable imo vs knowing the searches and cost per click info.
Could be a tough one to monetize well since names in that category may work better as multiple word terms rather than single word.
With sedo showing just 911 visitors a month its traffic makes a mid xx,xxx price range difficult to justify.
Just to add to my earlier post... It shouldn't get to 55-60k but it seems Namejet auctions always end way over Market price.
Market price is a loose definition. When there is increased competition by bidders, prices go higher. The more eyeballs one has on a specific auction, the better. Keep in mind this is a private sale, not a pre-released domain - no matter how Namejet wants to present it.
True. I do agree that when you get the right combination of bidders, who all have plans for the domain, prices can go higher than anyone would expect. (I didn't realise this was a private auction, I assumed it was pre-release.)
Although to further define what I would call Market value in this situation; what belly.com would sell for at other marketplaces such as sedo, afternic, aftermarket.com. Whatever type of auction is held at namejet, it always seems to me that domains are sold off for way too much.
Or bellyface! Haha... Google that![]()
knee.com was $37k so makes sense its more but still very high imo, not targeted really to any industry(too generic).
There are better ways to spend $40k+
NameJet Reserve is the highest bidder. Do you guys know him/her?
It could be used for a live cam website for belly dancers. you pay $1/minute

Recession...depression....not on namejet, maybe we need to make all industry go though namejet lol
It could be used for a diet-related website maybe
But I agree there are better ways to burn 40K.
NameNewsletter.com - free lists of available domain names
ZoneFiles.net (beta) - ccTLD and gTLD droplists
I wish it were possible to list your names for sale there. Prices are so inflated its disgusting.

It's not an expired domain auction. It's a private auction with a reserve. That's why the Namejet Reserve keeps popping up to be the highest bidder.
