Is "e" still a viable dn prefix?

Do you find that "e" prefix is well established enough to be accepted by most buyers? Is it something they'll go for if the can't get the actual word? I mean like ePaint.com, not eMyLoanPlace.com.

I guess "i" has had it's day, and "v"... I don't know if that was ever really in the running.

I've never sold a dn with any of the above prefixes, so I was wondering about your recent experiences.

    Thanks for your thoughts.

If it's a common word, sure why not. It's not as hot as it used to be, but sites like eToys.com and eLance.com are still around and doing well.

For my two cents, "e" is old, but "v" has yet to come and may arise some day as a prefix when VR tech goes mainstream.

Never liked them myself. to me having an "e" before a dot-com is like having a .net after it....second best.

But, don't think I wouldn't take Ecommerce or Email .anything. Also not too bad for a nice short domain like epay, or esell.

It depends on the sponsor that you are using. Domain King owns eGold.com, for example. He has the perfect sponsor matched with it. So, the last news I heard was that he was very pleased that his traffic and business were growing extremely fast.

A lot of other "e" domains are currently undeveloped and are not receiving many type-ins.

It seems to me that each "e" dn is a different case.

If I found a good "e" name I wouldn't hesitate to reg it. I sold eFrontpage.com not too long ago. Didnt get rich from it but made a few ez bucks.

I sold 3 v names. I will never get them again. Also sold a couple of i names. I would get an e name, but only if it is a VERY common word.

    The E

I think 'e' still has some life after relapse.
Look at "etrade.com" and what it brought to online stock trading.
We know the 'e' initially was used to signify internet spin-offs
    of brick and mortar stores.
Names like ebank, efinance, eloans will survive as capital and loan institutions continue to cut services to walk-in customers.
Which is why so many now buy autos over the internet.

    I regged an 'e' domain in Sept.2002
    "eAutoBiz.com"

Just waiting for the future of it!

I might have went too far when regging eSingle.net but hey, it would be worth something if developed into a dating site.

    Mike

PS : The Owner of eSingle.com wants $5,500.00 for it so no chance of that one ever being developed, unless he drops it perhaps.
