Zipfile ?
I imagine so, but how is it done?Originally posted by Mr Webname
Zipfile ?
Copy the full directory structure to your hard drive (via ftp) and zip it up. If your site is organized well, that would be five html pages and one image directory.
If you have special programming on there, any features driven by it may not work, as the language needs to be installed on the computer that is opening it.
Assuming you've got the webfiles in a folder and you've got a zipfile programme (I'm running XP Pro).
1) Right click the folder.
2) Select "Zip and email".
3) Do it.
Alternatively open your zip programme and select the folder you want to zip - zip it then send it as an attachment to the email.
Thank you both for your advice - I'll give it a try.
alternative way :
You can rename your file to unknown extension.
so, index.html renamed to index.ed30 and then upload it and ask that someone to access index.ed30 and he will receive a popup asking him to save or open, choose save.
