| Platinum Lifetime Member | Hello Everyone...... I sumbited my arcade to many search engines, and dictorys and used www and with out it as well. I did not know it would make problems for me, it would seem alot of search engines see 2 different urls. One such problem is with google, I setup my url with out the www with them. I verified that url with google, then made a sitemap I submited to google. I also added the url with the www., and verified it as well as the verifing file was on my site already. The problem is google found errors with the sitmap, because it has www in the map but not the url. So far it has not found the same errors with the www url, but the url with out www has alot of stats already. I wish I knew this, before I submited the urls. I'm not sure what to do, or if that could make problems with my indexed pages on google. What is the best course of action now, google will not let me change the url to add the www to it. Or I would of done that, and not added a new url to it. ![]()

Country: | Re: I goofed up with url submiting now what to do Not sure I have the full picture but there's some possibility that google will count the "www CoolestPage.com" and "CoolestPage.com" as duplicate content. So what you do is setup both on the server but setup one as a permenant redirect (i.e. 303) to the other. Both browser and search engines handle this gracefully. Do the same thing for the URL you gave Google but need to change (i.e. set one or the other as a permenant redirect). Cheers, BidNo [Edit1] Removed link. [Edit2] Damm, it's back. Removed "." after "www" to avoid linking.

I start doing it only like, http://www.arcadegamester.net all the time. But the first one I set up with google was http://arcadegaemster.net , then I add the one with www to google as well. As I could not change the first one, with out the www. google gives me stats on the domain. And lets to verified your domain with them, as well as add robot.txt file and sitemap. to the domain right there. Anyway I added a sitmap to the first one, then added it to the with www. in it. The problem is some search engines, see it as 2 different urls as is the case with google. When I made the sitmap I used the www url, and google returned some error for the urls with out www. Here are the errors from google, I did note the there was more indexed pages with the url with out www as well. URL not allowed (Line 8) with URL http://www.arcadegamester.net/ This url is not allowed for a Sitemap at this location. then it say more and goes here. Note it has this for 10 page urls, from the fornt page only. Here is what it says about it, http://www.google.com/support/webmas...er=35143&hl=en
