Long story short - I did an 'out of the box' personals ad, which got picked up by the local San Diego paper, which got picked up by the local radio talk shows and TV, which is now getting picked up by the syndicated shows. I'll post more when I get more time and more sleep -- everyone wants to be live, in the studio all perky at 7am these days!

Well, I got a full hour on the show, but I was a bit tired and without caffeine so I wasn't as feisty as I normally am. I thiought I was so-so on the initial interview partly because of that, and partly because of some mis-cues. Tom's questioning style is a little choppy - sometimes double questions, sometimes question/statement/question. He was standing in front of me and generally leans toward his mic to talk, but sometimes leaned in and didn't talk so it was hard to tell when to jump in. Also, we're in complete darkness except for a 20watt desk lamp, and he's wearing dark sunglasses.
Several of the early callers had little to say except that they were 'banging tons of chicks' and wanted to name-call. Not much place to take a call like that, so I gave them dead air to prompt Tom to move them along. The switchboard was jammed for the entire show, so they were very happy with it.
I got a ton of email, 100% positive during and after the show, so it was quite positive.
The real question is - did you get any hot dates yet?
I have a several dozen offers, most for free, ranging from super-hot to no-way. 100% positive email from females from the radio and TV stuff, fortunately, which is funny because I had some hate mail from the original ad. The girl I met for lunch just before the Leykis show was TOTALLY hot and one of the most intelligent and interesting women I've ever met, and she seems very interested in a real relationship, so I'm in a bit of quandry right now.
