I am not sure if this is a good idea?
As a buyer I would not want the name and the purchased price to show up on Google search.
The same thing is true for any name LLLL.com, etc...
If you are new to domains and looking to buy, sell and learn about domains then you have come to the right place. DNForum is the largest domain name community on the internet and continues to grow every day. There are over 105,000 domainers on DNForum doing everything from buying domains, selling domains, learning about domains and discussing domains. Take a minute and Register.
Register Today on DNForum IT'S FREE!This report will also help LLL.com holders to understand more the value of their 3 letters .com and will help investors to evalue potential purchases.
Yestarday at NameJet TOA.com ended at $35,300
And today we finally have the DNJournal Double report (because of T.R.A.F.F.I.C.)
NameJet
FTN.com $15,100
sedo
LMV.com $20,500
LLJ.com $12,501
HFP.com $12,500
OVU.com $10,555
IJI.com €6,101 = $9,550
HZX.com €4,500 = $7,043
And here...
The ones just sold at Great Domains:
Note about the GreatDomains Auctions:
There are not yet 10000 bidders on these high priced domain auctions but those people at GreatDomains/sedo still do not get the sense that auctioning too many NICE names at the same time and with the same ending time is a big NO NO.....because buyers can`t keep track of everything in the final minutes. So it`s common to find a couple of lower prices at GreatDomains.
Personally I think buying is good in these events and selling is the worst anyone could do.
It`s like you suddenly enter a room with 100 WONDERFUL WOMEN.
Can you take care of all of them?
Even more significant when you consider Sedo has pre qualified bidders, for the first time, for a Sedo/GreatDomains auction.
Anyway , these were the results of the last one, ended just few minutes ago:
ATO.com 18,000 EUR = $27,992 A very very good price for the buyer in my opinion.
RNI.com $16,000
OHN.com $13,550
YIB.com $10,000
XTD.com $10,000
QWA.com 6,300 EUR = 9,797 USD
VNY.com $9,100
RXL.com $8,920 (BIG BARGAIN!!)
RESERVE NOT MET FOR:
WON.com
Highest Bid: 50,000 EUR = $77,755
( Reserve not met )
WUZ.com
Highest Bid: $10,000
( Reserve not met )
You`re welcome to add any other LLL.com sale.
Please add the price , the date and the venue.
Thanks

I can't speak for other forum but I do have a problem if people post the prices of names sold here.

This is common sense - if you or someone post the name/price and I got complaint from member(s) then I will close or delete this thread. I don't see it serves anything.
There is no need to argue back and forth. Thanks.
I like the idea of having a sales price thread
It helps make sure that price guides (which many members here follow) are accurately representing what prices are in the real world.
Besides, without accurately knowing the prices, it's mighty hard to intelligently invest in domains. I would think Zesty's price guide has greatly increased interest in the 3 letter market solely from making it so much easier to follow and invest in 3 letter .coms.
I can only see this helping -- sales at sedo, Namjet, etc get reported in DN Journal anyway, so it's not reporting anything that's not already available. One can always ask that a sale remain private when dealing on DNF + other forums -- simple as editing the thread after a sale is made so no price is listed![]()
I`m not arguing, I`m trying to understand you.
Can at least do that? I`m not a native English person and I still sometimes misunderstand people, sorry.
So let`s say, that if there are 100 DNF members finding this useful but 1 member complains , you close my thread?
Is this right? I mean, do I understand you correctly?
If this is correct, then please at least tell me the name of such member and I`ll personally invite him to write to DNJournal and NameBio.com to close their sites.
Thanks

It would be insane to close a thread discussing sedo sale prices. It's almost as though DNF doesn't want to be a forum anymore.
Anyway, I think OHN.com was the biggest bargain. I see people discounting 'H' more and more in LLL.

We (mods) received requests everyday about deleting sales threads so the sold prices are not shown on search engine.
I don't have problem with posting names with prices which available to the public. However, if the owner is DNF member and they want to protect the sale price then we have to delete the post or ask the poster to edit and remove the sale information.
Thanks for understanding.
