    Thankyou..

    I appreciate your reply..

We've been viewing cut diamonds online tonite..

    we want (he does)
a nice fine marquise cut diamond with fine clarity.. mountable...

me.. i'll be happy with a wide gold band..

cause.. i already have my diamond.. this fine, loving man..

but he insists on the finest diamond we can find..

well, that's what the man said..
so... i'm in total submission (hee-hee)

But in all truthfulness.. the 'diamond' can't save a relationship..

it takes and requires daily "commitment" to your mate's needs..

and when two people are always tending too the
    others needs..

    ya both come out winning..

    TakeCare

    soon too be MsStephenCox.....

A flawless 1 carrot stone, color grade H, will set you back about $8k. A 1.5carrot will set you back about $15k. (round stone).

    BTW, what is a Marquise?

If you are looking for a cool ring, this is one i got my fiancee but i have been told it can be used as a wedding band too.......its damn cool, and by a famous UK designer. I had it appraised by a jeweler in the US, and it was valued at $1k more than i paid for it, and thats not taking into account the fact it was a desginer ring.

first of all congrats to you TF.

i'm sure you have crushed a lot of the forums single guys hopes already with your announcement... (its not often we have any females come onto the forum)

and to pres thats a nice ring... bet it took a few domains sales to get the cash for that...

should i ever tie the knot then the lucky lady in question will be lucky to get an onion ring let alone anything else unless i buck my ideas up and start developing some of my sites

Nice jewels there Prez!! That's white gold correct? Are you selling it?

The 'marquise' is the 'shape' of cut we are looking for..

We did some google shopping last nite..
    search terms: wholesale diamonds
wow!! there is a vast selection, various grades, color & clarity.

The plan is to buy the 'stone' and then have it mounted.
    We'll see..
    We just started looking yesterday.

(thanks cigla & all for the kind wishes)

i'm not sure if its white gold in the pic, but i got a platinum one for my fiancee.

I know what you mean about the variety of diamonds. I did a lil homework b4 i purchased the ring.

I'm not selling it, my fiancee hasn't dumped me yet . I ordered a 1/2 carrot flawless stone, but he cocked up and set a 0.4 V.V.S1 grade stone. Didn't realise until it was valued in the USA. The jewelers jaw dropped when he saw the stone. But i got the 0.5 carrot stone being sent to me. If you were interested in that ring, i could bring one with me to the USA when i go there this december (my fiancee lives there). No carriers will ship it from the UK fully insured....highest level of insurance for jewelry is $500 which sucks.

Please PM or email me the pricing details. We want a lot of 'fire' in the stone, not necessarily the 'finest grade'.. or we'de have to sell the home and 420SEL.. "-)

    Congrat's to you as well..

    When's the big day.

well you seem to know a bit about diamonds........let me know what color you want, the grade etc, what metal you want used (gold, white gold or platinum). Alternatively, give me your budget and any "must requirements" and i will tell you what you can get for your bucks.

    Thankyou..

I'm an elated woman.. to say the least..

    Stephen is sooooooo
    good too me..

    I'm treated like a princess.

    I've known him 20 years..
    and just this year..
    the intimate exchange evolved..
    ( i was always lookN.. where I shouldn't have
been lookN) does that make sense?

all i can say, is I am one lucky woman..

I rec' roses weekly.. beautiful roses..
    for my desk top..

    I've known Stephen soo long..
that I know him like 'brushing my teeth'
he's a good man, with a good heart..
and i know the 'soul of the man'..

i have had my share of 'ill relationships'
    i can assure you..

but.. i have learned that " The GOOD STUFF" is worth the wait..

    Ain't love grand?

and I told Stephen this morning.. that I don't give a 'rats ass' about diamonds.. cause I already have mine.. not on my finger.. but in my life and heart..

I'de settle for a gold band.. i don't need nor require the diamonds..

'the stones' won't make a relationship 'work'..

it takes 'two people' who always trust, and believe in eachothers, and support one another..

    no other way will work............

'-) just my humble, life experienced opinion..
