Not noticing anything different this month, if anything a little quieter. You must be investing in the right names. I see there are still lots of good sales happening from Sunday's DNJournal sales report though.
If you are new to domains and looking to buy, sell and learn about domains then you have come to the right place. Register Today on DNForum IT'S FREE!This month I have gotten more unsolicited WHOIS offers than I have ever gotten before, by a long shot. I get a new one it seems like every day. And the sales are closing for nice x,xxx sums on names I picked up for low xxx or less. About to close on my sixth sale of the month.
Are others getting lots of legit offers this month or am I just getting lucky?
Again I'm not actively shopping these names, people are just contacting me out of the blue.

this has been my worst month all year, i guess my compulsive buying habit doesnt do me any good
Congrats.
I have had a couple of offers, nothing solid. But I am in negotiations on an high xxx sale that was a hand reg - and with a hyphen! Imagine that.
Domaining is coming back!
Ok guess I am just having a run of good luck.

Unfortunately in this industry there is too much choice, forecasts are bleak for any domains other than a generic (short/2 word long tail) .com/.net/cctld, friends ask me if domaining is a viable business, even though i consult a few major corporations in the matter, i'd still say don't quit your day job if youre just getting into it. Having recently been invited to one of the domain event, i realised how anti social some domainers are, spending so much time on front of the pc in hope of acquiring a domain name just isn't healthy nor an efficient way to make money.

I spend 1 hour a day on behalf of 1 major gambling client and 3 retail corporate and still get time to have a browse for personal reasons too. Anyone in this day and age hoping to acquire a traffic domain name via or even on some auctions handreg is better off spending the money on a roulette wheel. I have seen far too many people capable of working full time jobs and earning £30k+ a year fall into the trap of domaining, it should be a part time hobby/business till youre making at least what you make on a full time job as a part time domainer.

Completely agree. Same with any one-man-shop web business.it should be a part time hobby/business till youre making at least what you make on a full time job as a part time domainer.

My hand regges have actually been outperforming my more top tier names in sales and offers. My 3D domains have been doing very well, just sold 3DVantage.com for $695 last week it was a $8 hand reg and another 3D name and 1 "3-D" for x,xxx. My GTV handregges from a few months back are getting low xxx offers.
So overall I'm satisfied. I would rather sell these names then tier 1s anyway. I'm not getting the x,xxx or xx,xxx offers that some of my names command but it seems the low-mid tier names are holding strong this month. I find the price range $225-$1250 to work very well for me for names I didn't invest much in.
Since responding I have had three offers/inquires on 3 diferent names.
Two from Bodis and 1 via Whois.
Now let's see if they result in sales.

I too have had a good month, best for many months, all fixed price sales via sedo in the $500 - $1,000 range.
i've received several offers this month a couple via email and others at sedo
even got a $$$ offer for a .mobi domain!
last month wasn't bad either
matter of fact, this year has been pretty decent![]()
