alexa is a very poor guide - they rate sites used by people who use their browser bar and i think the majority of them are webmasters
i would always check link popularity

I'm not positive, but I think it may be: www.Top-Keywords.com !?! In addition to keywords, it also has info on popular sites, as you requested. Hope that is the correct name of it. Anyway. Good Luck.
