    Well you were not kidding.

She would swallow the pills raw,... and chuck them up later. It was kinda funny.

But she absalutely cannot resist the peanutbutter.

    Thank you.

Gerry, appreciate the tip,..... but it no longer works.

I did the same, a glob of peanut butter,...

and she licked the peanut butter off and wouldnd get the pill.

I have to administer 2 twice a day,... and now she wont eat it.

I sat there for a half an hour trying to get one down, and she stared at me after pushing it down her throat,... only to cough it up a few minutes later spit out.

She aint playing that game anymore. Too smart for a 12 year old puppy. :(

Now I am down to deli meat.

I hope she doesnt figure that out.

Is there a liquid version of the medication?

That would be easier to disguise in food, or just an eyedropper in the mouth.
Freedom is the only intelligent and moral choice. Government is hired by people, via elections, to commit theft and other forms of force against their fellow man.

Cheese can work well. 1/2 a slice of American cheese can hold 1-2 pills.

Also, pill pockets (you can get them at most pet stores or on Amazon (much cheaper on Amazon).

Just found out today that my old puppy has inoperable cancer.

Get your girls fixed while they are very young.
Not getting them fixed increases their chances of getting breast cancer to about 30 percent.

    Took her home today.

I know the feeling 100%... They are truly our best friend. Remember the good times and smile Mark. Dogs were put on this Earth to give us happiness. From what it sounds like I think she did her job very, very well.

Boy, that's a bummer Mark. They really are man's best friend and it's too bad they couldn't live as long as us! Enjoy the time you have left and post a picture if you've got the time. Best of luck!

Here she is a couple of winters ago.

She could find a tennis ball in the snow better than a polar bear could find food.

Yes she slowed down a bit in the last couple of years and got a bit flabby.

But she is my puppy anyways.

I totally feel for you, Mark. My little dog had some kind of oral cancer, and the vet suggested putting her down. I did not agree but then there were other complications, and she refused to eat. We finally took her home (she had been hospitalized for more than a week already) for her final days. We even brought her to a nearby park, knowing very well it would be her last time outside, but she didn't even walk not to say run.

Days later, she literally died in my arms (had her last breath) and that feeling never goes away. I basically lost my mind that night, running more than a dozen red lights, and rushed her to the nearest 24 hours animal hospital, even though I should have known it would be futile. And I cried, first time in 20 years.

His early works include an experimental adaptation of Chekhov’s Cherry Orchard inspired at least partly by Robert Fripp. His totally irrelevant M.Ed. dissertation examines Organizational Culture and Change Management.
