    Why don't they make some useful bans like preventing -

    Adding a third by weight/volume of water to products and then saying the final product contains less than 25% water. This includes chicken, ham, bacon, toothpaste, shaving foam and many other items.

    Iradiating food to reduce vitamin "C" and conceal the processes of decay.

    The sale of products that still contain organophosphates.

    Use of products like "angel dust" to promote beef growth, and reputed to be in non-British meat sold by a major hamburger non-restaurant chain.

    Polititians placing unreasonable restrictions on national industries to force them out of business and allowing unrestricted inferior imports to replace them.

    etc. etc.........
