I use Computer Associates Pest Patrol. Has Realtime protection and updates, has been rock solid for me.

I'd consider installing Spyware Blaster, which immunizes your PC from thousands of spyware. I use it along with Ad-aware and Spybot as a 3-layer defense and so far, it's been effective.

Other than the common spyware tools, I like to use HijackThis by Trend Micro. It gives you more control and shows what is being loaded / started on your system. In their words:

HijackThis lists the contents of key areas of the Registry and hard drive--areas that are used by both legitimate programmers and hijackers. The program is continually updated to detect and remove new hijacks. It does not target specific programs and URLs, only the methods used by hijackers to force you onto their sites.
    You can get it here:
    http://www.download.com/Trend-Micro-...-10227353.html

Its a really cool tool, which helps you remove unwanted startup apps, pesky plugins and some spyware that just wont go away.

    There are others?

I've also used HouseCall (http://housecall.antivirus.com ) very good, as current as it can get, and online (and free). (Run by Trend Micro).

It picks up just about everything.

I use NOD32 BTW but those two are antiviruses, aren't they? I am looking for a Spyware Soft alternative to spybot and Adware.

Hijack This, Bartpe (for manual removal), Killbox, spybot.

Old old site, I have not updated in several years: removethissh*t.com (my site, it's safe) I will eventually get around to doing some updating, much has changed since I wrote it.
All offers good for 72 hours except running auctions
