Do you know of any that sold for substantial amounts?
Thanks!
sms.eu.com went for $1K only. So, low value.
They are worthless
If that's true, then why are domains such as eBaby.co.uk selling for 29K?
Why is a .co.uk worth more than a .uk.com? or is it?
coz everyone types.co.uk here and nobody - uk.com
pointless to market even good uk.com, as people will still type - co.uk
I like and liked country TLD's a lot.
Why ? "Niche" is the keyword in our business and I believe that focusing on regional-niche markets can be very rewarding. Why compete against .com-powerhouses when you can obtain similar results with ccTLD's ?
The secret is: choose a market you know and find a niche.
ilove them the get me much money
i have upload.bz i got 220$ offer but that fellow never replied

u'll find nice words in them still unregistered
Kevin,
I appreciate you very much in what you do, but I don't agree on your stance on ccTLD's
Most Americans grew up with .com and never heard about anything else but .com-names. You want to look for flowers, well you typ-in flowers.com it's as easy as that.
In Europe, for instance, most part of the current internet-users never knew anything else but their own ccTLD. I live in Belgium and if you ask 100 internet-users what they would typ-in in order to find let's say "homes" (= "huizen" in Dutch), 99% will typ-in "huizen.be" and not "huizen.com". The same goes for The Netherlands (.nl), Germany (.de), UK (co.uk), etc.
Most Europeans associate .com with The States, not with their own country.
According to Wikipedia, the combined population of the 4 countries I mentioned above is 170,000,000. So, I'm not so sure ccTLD's have no value yet![]()
I've been buying and selling ccTLD's for quiet some time now and I'm sure that not 10% of all transactions are reported. This market is highly underestimated by some.
Though, I agree with you that the .com market is much more "liquid" than (some) ccTLD-markets. But I guess the same goes for US-stockmarkets versus (some) European-stockmarkets
It's only a matter of time before the European ccTLD-domainmarket will become as mature as the .com-market is today.
Well those who have read my posts previously know I am in favour of 'logical' use off ccTLD's, and Bart is absolutely correct to say most ccTLD sales are not reported, the vast majority of mine are not (normally the buyer wants the price they have paid to be kept as private information).
The value of ccTLD's is set to rocket when in conjunction with popular keywords or logical use, why wouldn't they? Those who say that a bad dot com is better than a good ccTLD should look at this example:
Pet.st
or
ISellEveryThingForPets.com
The simple question is which is more marketable?
Obviously Pet.com is worth more than Pet.st, but Pet.st is worth a damn site more than many 'Pet' .coms!
Advertising, using the print and visual media especially, will turn this industry upon its head within the next 12-24 months, and it is the ccTLD's that will show the greatest percentage gain over registration/aftermarket purchase costs.

uk.com is a domain name - you are buying subdomains of that.
.co.uk is a proper extension!
Worth doing your research on that - http://www.acorndomains.co.uk/domain...in-market.html has a good bit of information on .co.uk and how it is increasing in value.
