Register Today on DNForum IT'S FREE!I'm the worst when it comes to getting viruses - for example I just found 5 trojans today. I get viruses atleast once a month. I really don't know much about protecting my computers from viruses (obviously) and my job entails visiting sites I've never been to or heard of before. I was hoping some of you guys could help..![]()
I have a couple questions..
*What's the best anti-virus software?
*Once viruses are deleted, is there anything I can do to make sure they're gone?
*How can I find viruses I know are there, but aren't showing up in the scan?
These are the only programs I'm using now: McAffee Virus scan, Ad-Aware
My privacy is set to medium-high and blocks pop ups.
Sorry for the noob questions..lol...
Thank you.

SpyBot S&D scans for Adware/Spyware
Hijackthis powerfull program to remove Adware/Spyware (dont remove anything you dont know)
also you should install a firewall, zonealarm is my favorite and there is a free version of it found on there website
if you think your virus scanner isnt picking up a virus then you can try these free online scanners:
Trendmicro
Symantsc

Electrical Contractors, West Midlands, UK
Yes zonealarm has been my favorite. I use it both on my desktop and laptop.
I use KasperSky antivirus and BlackIce Firewall.
Allthough I would reccomend Mcafee Security Suite, 2 of the computers at home have it on and its great. Also make sure you regularly update your anti virus.
I normally leave protection on my system at all times and every month or two I like a nice fresh reformat to clean any junk, temp files and just keep it running fast.
