The article mentioned that weather.com attracts 40m uniques per month.
Not being based in the US, I usually source weather details/forecasts from the local news website or via the firefox add-on - keen to hear from others on DNF (esp. the US-based ones) if the Weather Channel/weather.com is the favoured online destination for that news sector?

Almost all sites that monitor tropical cyclones (hurricanes etc..) either get their information from Weather.com or NOAA. Hopefully they keep this up since it is good to see both maps for preparations.

Weather.com for the daily weather but definitely the NOAA weather charts when it's hurricane season! What do you say Draggar, will Bertha be the big one?![]()
agreed. weather.com is the place to go when checking the weather forecasts.
According to both tracks she doesn't seem to be heading to the US at all, but they said that about Jeanne and Wilma. They also said that Katrina wouldn't amount to much.
Good sale for NBC, though. I'm assuming by "associated properties" that also includes all of the weather equipment they have?

Bargain sale. IMO (considering the world traffic)
Great follow-up comments from NYT readers:
- "I wonder if this deal will make their forecasts more accurate?"
- "Great. Now the news becomes even more slanted."
- “Slanted” weather news? As is left-wing or right-wing storms? (in response)
Thanks for the replies, guys![]()
