What does it mean to be "educated"?

What does it mean to be "educated"? The completion of a higher education degree? Or a mind that trains itself to learn?

To be "educated" means you can read and write RIGHT.

In domaining "educated" means good offers and not low ball offers (educated offers)

You can hold your own in a discussion based on the topic that you're "educated" on (sticking to the facts, etc.).

Schools and certifications mean jack - I've known people who graduated from computer colleges with MCSE, CCNA, A+, N+, MCP+I etc.. and didn't know any DOS commands nor did they know how to install drivers.
