Oh yes..... several months ago there was some decent three-char infos available & I didn't pick them up as selling prices here didn't seem to be worth the hassle. :(

Duke and I were exchanging emails last year during the drops wondering why it was mainly just the 2 of us picking up the .infos (and occasionally another person) at the drops. Since the .info WHOIS is almost realtime, it was like going to an easter egg hunt, and only 2 show up, and we're alble to check each others' 'basket' so we're chatting while collecting and even trading on the spot. We were wondering where everyone else was. It was funny.

The time I got to the Easter Egg Hunt. All of the eggs had turned "rotten"!

    Not this Mr. Cohen.

For some reason I wish I had CouldaWouldaShoulda.com

Also feel dumb for letting NorthEastWestSouth.com sit on my wish list that 1 extra day.

    Look on the bright side!

I was just reading through our posts and thought...here we are complaining about "missing the opportunity of a lifetime? and I suppose thats what everyone said who "missed out" on investing in a Ford Model-T when it first came out......Think about that....by 2004..any way you look at it, any one of those cars increased value. Same thing with real estate. It wasn't until all the land was taken that the huge prices came about...

My point being...in 20 years ...We will all be laughing all the way to the bank

I couldn't have said that better, well put.
I completely agree, all of us here will be in a good position when the marketplace dries up.
Domains are consistently going up faster in value than land in many places.

But, then again, this thread is just for us to rant about the head banging we've done. It's nice to look back and learn from our mistakes.

The first day the .US registry opened I found BulletinBoard.US was available. I passed and someone took it a couple of days later. I probably should have reg'd it... would have been a good domain for a forum site.

"Bulletin Board Us" would be a cool slogan for a free/paid forum hoster

I remember in a large netsol drop in 2001 I passed on 3 lll.com's - zxm.com and I cannot remember the other 2....I remenber zxm because the letters were all on the bottom row of the keyboard.

Back in 1999 I passed on so many .org's and .net's....it is really embarrassing.

I purchased www.4by.com as a college student 12 years ago, then I couldn't make my rent, I lost 200 domains because I could not pay the renewal. I had 45 three letter domains, but I really miss this one.

P.S. I have made up for it.

    In 1994 I registered Computer(.)com.

    Not bad.

In the same year, I could have registered sex(.)com but decided not to.

    Not good.
