I would recommend the Good Wife to those who don't even have time to watch tv. It's well rounded and would appeal to audiences with varying interests.
I don't watch much network tv dramas, sitcoms, etc.
But lately I have been tuning into Pawn Stars on the History Channel.
They are funny as hell and I actually learn something every now and then.

I don't watch enough TV to be considered a regular viewer.
However, I have watched every episode of Treme on HBO. It is so awesome to see some of my old stomping grounds and love the culture. Thus far, the show has been pretty true to the roots, culture, flavors, and sounds of the New Orleans most people never experience.
When it first started, I was taken aback by the young girl who plays violin. She looked nearly identical to my cousin (as she looked about 10 years ago) and my cousin was a violin major at Loyola in New Orleans and played with the New Orleans Symphony Orchestra. My wife even thought it looked so much like her that we had to wait until the credits rolled before we knew for sure it was not her.

apprentice all stars hohoho
Dexter, House, Prison Break recently.
Started watching that a couple of months ago as well, great show. You might also like Pickers. Couple of guys driving around in their van going thru other people's "junk" buying it and then flipping it later for profit. I was thinking the other day what shows closely resemble domaining and this one came to mind a little bit. Like Dirty Jobs and Mythbusters also, on Discovery or History Channel, some other shows on their I like as well. Don't watch much network TV but was into Lost when it was out. Like some HBO series like Sopranos, The Wire etc.
Usually when I'm working I just have ESPN on, maybe a news channel or some movie going.
I've seen pickers and its okay, but doesn't do much for me. Not quite the entertainment value of Pawn Stars.
I like House, Lost and Desperate Housewives (yeah, I know what you think, but it's actually damn funny). I also watch CSI and I'm a huge fan of The Simpsons and South Park.
Also, discontinued shows like Prison Break and Oz were great.
I have never seen an episode of The Bachelor, but I understand the new fall series is going to be shot at a Peruvian prison and will feature Van Der Sloot as the Most Eligible Bachelor on the Block.
It will literally be a fight to the finish as the last man standing will be forever joined to some white Dutch ass.

Two and a half men right here in the way of sitcoms... but the closest thing to reality would be Shark Tank.
Oh, and Big Bang Theory as well... many have told me that my traits, as well as my appearance are quite resemblant of Sheldon's![]()

I hate to kick start old threads, but...
I have REALLY gotten into Boardwalk Empire and Bored To Death, both on HBO.
Bored to Death is hilarious and so well written dark comedy. Boardwalk Emipire has one of my favorite "bit" actors, Steve Buscemi. Now, I know Steve became quite a big hit on Sopranos, but here's a secret...I have never seen an episode of Sopranos. But I have loved this guy and his bizarre looks and behavior since his days of Fargo and The Big Lebowski.
And for a real non-politically correct, racist, bigot, descriminatory charged bust-a-nut laugh, check out East Bound and Down, also on HBO.
