That's true. But what are the type-ins for this domain? Likely A LOT. And what do people expect to find at a domain such as this?Originally Posted by Paul_Kuhn

To illustrate: You can throw crap on your front lawn of the house where you live. No one will argue it's not your right. But the point is, anyway you look at it, it is dissrespectful of the people forced to look at it. And the busier the street where you live is, the more people you effect.
It's just a disservice to the Web community. Yes, we are part of a COMMUNITY. Each domain owner should respect that. Of course, this is up to each domain owner.
As a side point: It doesn't reflect well on Germany. Look at the other country .com names. And yes, I like Germany and hoped they would win the World Cup.

Moin Moin,
Why do you ask? Who cares? Only those who typed in!Originally Posted by ecafe
Its a privatly owned website and only the owner decides what to do with it.
If you want to know something about Germany, then please visit deutschland.de

So you think an authority should take away the site from the current owner and fill it with things you expect to see there? *cough*Originally Posted by ecafe

No one said authorities should take away the site.
Type-ins is traffic. It's probably the purest form of traffic there is. I don't understand what you're trying to say on this point.
You can do whatever you want with a commercial site. But since you are in a public space whatever you do with it reflects on you as the owner.
I think that if more domain owners acted in a more respectful and considerate way then the Web would be a much more enjoyable experience.
As domain owners we have a golden opportunity to contribute to the World Wide Web. Whether it is in a positive or negative way it is up to each one of us.
The purpose of the Domain Name System is to fascilitate navigating the Web to find relevant information. Parking pages are thus OK since they link to relevant information that visitors are looking for when they visit the page.
Paul, are you the owner of this domain by any chance?

Hi....this was already seen Simon.... in my opinion, the worst of the category "waste of premium domains" is still :
purple.com

He should at least put up a PPC page from one of the parking companies.
Inactive User
The owner revealed himself as quite an immature person ... forfeiting potential business opportunities for his domain. He's waiting to sell despite statement to the contrary.

Wow. That is a bit of a shame. He can do what he wants with it, and selling or developing is something he must be considering. With all the offers and inquiries he got he put a page that says he is not selling. So he knows he has something, maybe he just doesn't know what to do with it or what is really worth!
...and purple is a waste of space right now...:(
what great names that we can only look at and![]()
Whats not to like on germany.com, there is a lot of humour there, and money is not his religion, tough beans.
Any offers on these 2 domains, Prairieprovinces.ca/com
purple.com `s owner is gay or it`s just my impression?
yup the owner of purple.com is a gay.somewhere in the site he mentions it indirectly

100k for Germany.com would be a steal but big one compared to Malta.com for 250K.Originally Posted by simon
