Don't tell me your age; you probably would tell a falsehood anyway –
but your waiter may know!
YOUR AGE BY DINER & RESTAURANT MATH
This is pretty neat...
DON'T CHEAT BY SCROLLING DOWN FIRST!
It takes less than a minute. Work this out as you read. Be sure you don't read the bottom until you've worked it out! This is not one of those waste of time things, it's fun.
1. First of all, pick the number of times a week that you would like to go out to eat. (more than once but less than 10)
2. Multiply this number by 2 (just to be bold)
3. Add 5
4. Multiply it by 50 (get the calculator out)
5. If you have already had your birthday this year add 1759...
Or if you haven't, add 1758.
6. Now subtract the four digit year that you were born.
You should have a three digit number
The first digit of this was your original number. (I.e., How many times you want to go out to restaurants in a week.)
The next two numbers are
YOUR AGE ! ------ (Oh YES, it is!)
Now how does this work! THIS IS THE ONLY YEAR (2009) IT WILL EVER WORK.
“When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace.” ~ Jimi Hendrix
If I told my waiter what year I was born I think he would figure out how old I was more easily than that!
My grandpa used to have a hundred of these. The best one was where he took a dollar bill and did some shit like this with the serial number...
People trip, but really, it's just simple mathematics...
Cute, but the logic already died on last step.
I dont eat out anymore.
I spent all my money on domain renewals.

I did this back in 2007. Still funny though.
In a nutshell:
n= number of times you eat
y = year you were born.
If you had your birthday then you 'll end up with 100n + 2009 - y
If you had not had your birthday then you'll end up with 100n + 2008 - y
Subtracting your birth year from 2009 / 2008 (depending on your birthday) will give your age (2 digits) so you'll end up with n(age).
This will NOT work if you are over 100 years old, though (heh, it's not Y2K compliant!).
Which will give that result.
You can make it work next year, too, just change 1759 and 1758 to 1760 and 1759 (respectively).![]()
