DNF$: 1,263 Location: Seattle | 30-day reg rule for auction names. I thought auction names were supposed to have at least 30-days before they expire? ![]() The first sentence in the auction rules: http://www.dnforum.com/auction.php I bought a domain in the auction last sunday. It was pushed to me yesterday and low and behold the domain expires 4/17/2003. Contacted the seller but have had no response. Its a pain in the arse to do a whois on every single name that doesn't post the expiration date. So as a buyer I assume that there is at least 30-days left before expiration not a week. Oh well, live and learn ![]() |

DNF$: 1,002 Location: Northeast | Who was the sellor?!? Does he/she have more domains listed for this coming Sunday (4/13) that could potentially have the same type of expiration "issues"?? ![]() Thanks. |

It will not only help protect other members from doing business with that person, but it should also act as a deterrent to others doing the same thing.

JMHO PS. The seller has since contacted me and admits it was an oversite on their part. Thanks | |

DNF$: 1,002 Location: Northeast | Good to hear, Namecaster! Until the functions (entry fields) are improved to easily browse expiration dates, etc., I'll be keeping a very close eye on listed domains' expiry dates and Registrars for those names in which I'm interested. Glad it's resolved now, though. ![]() See 'ya. |

Country: | I agree all. If members can not abide by the auction rules then the sellers need to be exposed to protect not only the rest of the forum members but themselves as well. Let's weed out the bad apples & keep this place TIP TOP which will not only protect, but increase new buyers & members. ![]()

Country: | Seems to me if the rules weren't followed, there would be two choices. Either invalidate the auction at the request of the buyer, or give the seller the option to add a year reg. before transfer. This should not apply if a domain was posted for auction with say 35 days left and the auction get's postponed a week making it 28 days. |
