Automerging Double posts!!!

It's a bit off, don't you think?

I used the mod on my free hosting forum at www.talkhost.info/forum
I no longer own that forum.

But I used that mod on my forum because I used to offer free hosting for posts. And I had some issues with folks double/treble posting etc.. just to boost post count, So I felt it was justified to introduce the mod... On a forum that is free to join and free to be a member of, and does not cost anything at any point in time...

Introducing it on a forum where members pay to be a part of is just overkill. We pay to be members here, (and we even accept temp bans from juvenile type staff).

I just thought I'd point out that this forum is really going tits up, and arse over elbow..

And I really could not care less if I got banned for voicing my opinion. I have read posts by other members, and they are scared to voice opinions in case they get banned for it..... Is that really the mentality we want at this forum??? I don't think so.. I think we all have a valid contribution, and should not need to worry about getting banned if we disagree with admins and mods..... Fair enough banning folks at the drop of a hat on a free forum, but this forum costs good, hard earned cash to be a part of... If you want to ban folks, or temporarily suspend them, you need to rethink the charging structure.... If you cannot accept criticism then stop charging for forum access..

Probs the ass licking oldies will not agree with this, (because they get a feeling of superiority by ridiculing the newbies) but I'm sure most newbies will agree with this..

I've just had my latest suspension uplifted. And I will not stop stating my opinion. I just think it is wrong you can suspend/ban paying members....
Why not offer full refunds to those (e.g. ME and others like me) to just go away if you want a censored and undemocratic site. I'd gladly go away if my money was returned, but my money has not been returned so I will continue to voice my opinion.

Saving this in notepad now cos I tend to get my posts removed without explanation LOL
