Thanks for the suggestion, we'll keep it mind and see if it makes sense to change that.

You can't even browse latest posts without seeing all the crude adult domains.
I am sure I'm not the only one who doesn't want to see these domains everyday when they browse new posts.
Also, there are kids browsing this forum.
Thanks for the suggestion, we'll keep it mind and see if it makes sense to change that.

ditto. there should be a way to block the words from the subject line or maybe a hack to not display the subject line at all.
Another option is contrary to other threads a new rule requiring that no domain be in the subject line.
This kind of stuff may be a reason for so few female members. I have recenty discovered there are far more female domainers than known, the numbers sre really surprising. They are active on Facebook but very few are in forums.

That is the point in that you don't need to look at adult section to see them as they show up when going to "new posts."
You would be surprised at how many female dominers are on Facebook vs only a few here? It's really interesting.
It could simply be a membership configuration option not to show adult forums.
There might be other configuration options of interest to members also; e.g. if someone only buys .com they might want to exclude the cctld forums. I for one would not mind if the political threads never showed, when I am looking at the new posts, since they are sometimes so off-topic.
IMO the default, for adult domains or for any category-exclusion, should be that they show. The majority of domainers, I believe, will at least occasionally want to review those types of domains.

i tottaly disagree on removing adult domains from the forums .
There are ways of blocking the adult section for those who dont want to see them . The forum could add filters for the forums , simple as that .
The domain name market is a business field as well as the adult or gambling category , as long as there are adult domains , these domains should be there .
Why refuse the right from me , on bidding on some very valuable domain name .
I dont belive that the domain business has place for sentimental feelings . I dont get it ...
I agree and how much can you even see of them its not like they roll across the top of the screen!? And no offense but there shouldnt be too many "kids" here. At least not under 18.
I think the initial complainant is trying to hide deep pent up emotions that hes done so well to contain up until this point and his last visit to DNFORUM where he saw an adult name and it subconciously made him want to revert to his carnal like sexual activity. (like when a smoker whos trying to quit walks thru a cloud of cigarette smoke) IMHO

i agree on this ! and really with all that free P*** all over the web with all that easy to get s** material everywhere , its crazy to think that a KID who is a "DOMAINER" too will learn about all that from the DNFORUM
as said , the admins could insert some kind of filters , i think this is something easy to make and to implement
Back in the day when I was an adult webmaster, there were many more female adult webmasters than there are female domainers .
My point being, well.... I don't really have a point, just sayin..... females like the porn just as much as men do, they just don't want to admit it.:o
When I log on, I go to my Unread Posts link.
Doesn't matter to me what appears. I ignore most. All in all, I may view perhaps 10% or less depending on title and subject matter.

Great!
As long as they are not in new posts that is fine. I think members have no problem with the adult domains section other than this issue.
Haha you're way off the mark. I just think these domains should stay in the appropriate section.

Removing them from Todays Posts is probably enough. i dont think it should be a different forum. I am not a member of other forums, just this one, nice to have it all in one place. And there is too much overlap in names - how do you define, exactly, what is adult and what is not? if its all one big forum, then its easier to manage the overlap. Plastic surgery domains for example can overlap.
I'd like to know what constitutes an "adult" domain.
Is it references to body parts? What about medical terms, is "rectum" ok but "ass" is not?
Not trying to be funny; I am simply asking whether a set of rules are in place, or whether we'll argue over movement of domains to the adult forum when in fact they might as well exist in the general forum (or the adult section thereof).
