Cannot access my Private Messages?

Suddenly I cannot access my PM's anymore. Posting and replying to threads is no problem, I can also still get into my User CP but 'm locked out of my PM's. Anyone has the same?

Yes this is true. This is not new information though. It was almost 2 months ago when we announced the different levels of membership and their features. If you remember - we also said that we were going to allow a grace period. It has been a very generous grace period. You don't have to go Platinum to use private messages (though I suggest you do for all the other perks) but you need to at least go Gold.

Just remember that you can go GOLD for only $14.95 a year - if you don't want to cough up the $49.95 at this time. That's only the price of 2 reg fees. Here is the original information. Unless things change in the near future - this is still the current details of the different membership plans....

This text actually says you need gold to SEND pm's. I interpret this as that you could still RECEIVE them, and certainly access the old ones. This is quite common on other websites as well: low-status memberships cannot initiate contact but they can be contacted by high-status members.

Anyway, I would have appreciated it if you would have announced this with a specific date so that I could have made a final check of my PM's to see if there is anything in there I needed to make a copy from.

So what about the messages people may have sent me yesterday and today that i haven't been able to access so far - if i sign up, will those messages be there or have they been sent back to the senders?

We would have - but we did not know when it was over ourselves. Keep in mind that we have just undergone an ownership change that was rather sudden - so there are a few things that are in the process of evolving. We are getting everything worked out - and there is a lot of great stuff ahead. There is obviously going to be a couple bumps in the road though - while we expand from a 2 lane highway to a 4 lane expressway!
