Some people have accumulated so many DNF$ just as some people have accumulated so many real $. Using that logic we shouldn't have the auctions for real $.Originally posted by BigFart
Some people have accumulated so many DNF$ that there is no competition if they want a name.
That said, my primary purpose for this is to troubleshoot the auction system.
Great to see this actually happening. I've sold every name offered in the $USD auction and I expect to sell a couple on the DNF$ auction each time as well.
FYI, if you need 'DNF Bucks for the auction:

... get 'em early, as prices are moving higher due to demand.
Have fun!
not a bad idea.
As even name paid by dnf dollars can still be resold on the real money market.
goodluck!

Feel free to make DNF$ donations to the domain hobo.

Right - thanks for bringing that up. If people want to acquire DNF$ before they have 'earned' them - they can of course purchase them as well. There are usually several different offers going on in the that thread - and 'stocdoc' is religious about keeping it current. Actually - he has a DNF$ 'Alter & Shrine' at his house - which I personally find quite odd. However he is a good friend - so I try my best to just overlook it.Originally posted by CoolHost

Yeah Popper I pray every time before making a DNF$ purchase.
Gregr, we should have an incremental bidding system like the $USD auction. The current minimum increments on DNF$ auctions is 5 DNF$ (established to restrict posts just to earn points). But I'd suggest at least 10 DNF$ increments in this new auction.
The increments are intentionally left the same to tax the auction system for troubleshooting.Originally posted by stocdoctor
