DNForum hosted at GoDaddy?

We all are aware of how slow Sloooooowdaddy,s interface/hosting/reseller websites & other products are. This brings up the question "is this Forum hosted with them?"

For quite a while now DN forum has experienced very slooooow loading pages. I know it is not my computer as there are many other similar views, also other similar sites, forums/registrars/etc that have as large customer base or more seem to perform at the speed they should.

In no way am I trashing DNForum as it is an excellent site. Rather I am just curious as to why it is so slow and is there any steps that may be taken to speed the site up.

Please offer your suggestions/feedback

Well thats strange because according to the whois they are on godaddy servers,explain that one ?

DNF is and has been fast for me.

The server uses the power cord from Godaddy but hosted somewhere else.

The power chord? What do you mean by that? >_> That wouldn't explain why it would resolve in GoDaddy's infrastructure?

Nevertheless, DNF has been extremely slow for me as well. I think it just needs hardware and more-importantly software upgrades/updates.

Apparently DNF is hosted by "Tranquil Hosting" according to Who Is Hosting This:
http://www.whoishostingthis.com/dnforum.com

...and this is Tranquil Hosting:
http://www.tqhosting.com/

Their site is a lot faster than DNF, but their pricing...is pretty bad...at least for the hardware and software they're displaying.

This site is usually not slow for me (at work or at home). The only consistent time I noticed it's a little slow is between 6am and 7:30am EST. Not often, but it seems that this time is the most common time.

This is a good point. I imagine that traffic has a lot to do with speed of loading pages etc. But if this is the case why do other forums that are very similar to DNF, who have more traffic at the same times perform so much faster.

As mentioned I am no web programmer or techie, so all I know is what I read and this is usually is contradictory.

So what are your views, I know there are some excellent webdesigners, computer experts on DNF, lets hear your suggestions and probable causes.

All I know is that DNF seems very slow, but other larger sites with more traffic and a very similar script are faster.I believe that this should rule out that my computer is the problem?

Again I am not trashing DN forum. It is the top of the line website for domainers.

I'm in the UK and it works fine for me. You could do a traceroute (I think it's tracert in Win) and check your routing.
